FORD

Founded by Henry Ford, Ford logo has gone through evolutionary changes over the years.

Chronology of Logo Evolution

1903-1909
1909-1912
1912
In this and the subsequent versions the writing of "Ford" is seen as Henry Ford's own signature.
1912-1927
1927-1976

1976-Till Date
Ford’s current logo, also known as Centennial Blue Oval is stabilized at later years.

FILA

Founded by the Fila brothers the present Fila logo remains strikingly memorable, largely due to the cleverly artistic treatment of the letter F. The symbol comprises of snakelike letters which give it a highly futuristic and elegant look. The red bar makes the initial unique in the Fila logo, and represents vitality, vigor and passion. On the other hand, the blue color represent trustworthiness and reliability of the brand.

FIAT

Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino (FIAT) is a leading Italian automobile manufacturer and its logo has gone through radical changes through the years. “A” is a key characteristic of the logo, rendering an innovation in design.

1899-1901

The company first logo bore Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino(FIAT) text on the logo on a golden yellow colored background.
1901-1904

The next version has FIAT acronym as a prominent feature, but the full name remains as a part of design, the letters are laid on pentagon shaped background.

1904-1921

The next version has FIAT acronym on an oval plate shaped badge.
1921-1925

The next version has FIAT acronym on a wreathed circle shaped badge.
1925-1931
The next version has FIAT acronym on a wreathed circle shaped badge where colors are inverted from earlier version.
 1931-1932
The next version has FIAT acronym on a rectangle shaped badge where red and golden yellow are two colors seen in the design.
1932-1968
The next version has FIAT acronym on a shield shaped badge with same color schemes as before.
 
1968-1999
The next version badge has four blue rhombuses, each bearing each letter of FIAT, where blue and silver are chosen as colors in design.
 1999-2006
The next version is on wreathed circle to celebrate FIAT's 100th anniversary, where color traces from old version are still used.
 2006-Till Date
The next version is combination between a circle and a trapezium where silver and wine red are colors used.

Ferrari



“The horse was painted on the fuselage of the fighter plane of Francesco Baracca — a heroic airman of the first world war. In ’23, I met count Enrico Baracca, the hero’s father, and then his mother, countess Paulina, who said to me one day, ‘Ferrari, put my son’s prancing horse on your cars. It will bring you good luck’. The horse was, and still is, black, and I added the canary yellow background which is the colour of Modena.”

The lines quoted by founder gives enormous information about usage of Prancing Horse.

The logo is crowned with green, white and red strips, which augments the beauty of the insignia.The company name ‘Ferrari’ is placed at the bottom of the Ferrari logo. Primarily, in place of the name, the letters SF were engraved on the logo.'SF' as seen on the front wings of the car underneath the Black Horse symbol stands for 'Scuderia Ferrari' in keeping with the equine motif. The phrase basically means 'Ferrari Racing Stables' which refers to the racing arm of the Ferrari Automobiles.

Fed-Ex logo received internationally numerous awards for its logo design, The most interesting fact about the FedEx logo is that it creates an optical illusion; if you observe closely between the ‘E’ and the ‘X’, you’ll notice a presence of an arrow there. The arrow represents the speedy and accurate service of the company.
The ‘Ex’ in FedEx signifies different sectors of the company in different colors. FedEx Express in Orange; FedEx Freight in Red, FedEx Ground in Green, FedEx Kinko’s in Blue, FedEx Trade Networks in Yellow, and the FedEx Services in Grey. In addition, the ‘Ex’ of the corporate logo is also colored grey.

In new version letters have been changed to meet their own fixed widths and heights and no longer cross over each other, and are lined up without floating. The red letter E is now a bright maroon, the indigo letter B is now blue, the letter A remains yellow, and the bright green Y has been changed from uppercase to lowercase.

Deutsche Bank logo's square shaped frame can be interpreted as a sign of security and a controlled environment, the inner angled line within the box inclines boldly forward, rendering an intense feel of positive momentum. Symbolically it meant to contain box in a box for tighter security and safety.

Dell Inc.bears name from its founder Michael Dell, it is one of worlds largest, biggest technological companies.

The logo design is a form of Monogram, but has tilted "E" reflecting Dell’s wish to “turn the world on its ear”, all letters are designed in uppercase.

Copy Right


Copy right symbol is a very creative,simple design with greater attention to detail. The Circle around C (Which is in bold style) illustrates protection of copy, It signifies the protection the symbol provides to the original owner of the masterpiece.

Chevrolet

Chronology of Logo Evolution

Founded by Louis Chevrolet, Chevrolet logo design stories has various sources, designed from bow-tie, designed from greek/swiss cross or design inspired from a wall painting etc, despite these it is a powerful design and has helped the organization to gain immense potential growth and branding.

1911-1914

The initial monogram has text simply used as a representation in cursive writing.
1914-1934
The next version has popular design element (german\swiss cross or bow tie) with name embedded in the center of logo plus two lines parallel to the name and a standard thick border around logo.
1934-1940

Blue color is used for filling the field of logo, gray colored borders and white colored text are modifications added in the present version.
1940-1950
Yellow colored single gradient border, dark blue background, elimination of serif style are some of modification in the present version.
1950-2000
Text is pulled out of logo, transparent/white field of logo inner background and font standardization are few modifications seen from earlier version.
2000-2004
Red colored gradient border with sharp 3D edges are some salient changes seen in the present version.
 
2004-2010
Golden yellow and dual gradient inner background color, shiny, sporty, silver, sharp edges are used in the present version.
2010-Till date
Refined dark colors, wider borders or contours, dual tone shining silver patterns are most striking features of present design.

Canon

Chronology of Logo Evolution

The Canon logo, introduced in 1935, has undergone several changes as the company has grown. Despite these modifications, the strong character reflected in the sweeping inward stroke of the "C" has remained intact from the day that the company was founded.




1933-1934

In 1933, when Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory was established, the name given to cameras manufactured on a trial basis at the time was Kwanon. This title reflected the benevolence of Kwanon, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, and embodied the Company's vision of creating the best cameras in the world. The logo included the word with an image of "Kwanon with 1,000 Arms" and flames.
1934-1935

The engraved Kwanon logo was used on cameras trial-manufactured by the Company (but not actually released in the market).
1935-1953
The "C" was unique in that its top end curved inward, ending in a sharp point, Prominent features were already inherent in the refinement process.

1953-1956
The logo is further refined to achieve an overall balance, with letters in thick pillars.
1956-Till Date 
The current Canon logo is a prime example of a typographic logo, The red color in the Canon logo represents energy, determination and business responsibility. The Cannon logo uses a custom-designed font which was created by Gio Fuga exclusively for the company.

Budweiser


Budweiser logo is one of most iconic brand boosting design and it helped succeeding over ages conveying message. Usage of crown over signature styled company name symbolizes "King of Beer" and the red bow-tie shaped background symbolize classiness, elegance and royalty, bright colors like red are chosen for quick identify from far and over-crowded places.

Chronology of Logo Evolution

1900-1907

Bosch logo represents Magneto armature, which is first product Bosch has designed, the company is named after Robert Bosch, who is founder of company.
1907-1913
The Magneto armature used in magnetic casting is further simplified and name is finalized to Bosch with inclined letter case.
1913-1925



The later version has all uppercase letters and magneto armature if further simplified.
1925-2002
Next version used red color as official color of text.
2002-Till Date

The latest version employed a shining silver and gray version Magneto armature, it continued traditional red colored font with better letter spacing.
